About

Hi, I’m Nora. I am a freelance photographer currently based in London, operating across both Europe and Asia.

My commercial work focuses on capturing events for universities and Chinese brands within London. However, my true creative passion lies at the intersection of portraiture, fine art, and fashion. I am interested in bringing a sense of storytelling to my portrait work and fashion editorials, ensuring every frame feels like a narrative.

Before transitioning to independent work, I spent a year as an assistant in a videography studio. This experience gave me a solid technical foundation, and I remain open to lighting assistant opportunities to collaborate with other creatives.

My visual language is deeply rooted in my academic background: a BA in Chinese literature and an MA in European literature. Literature and nature are my primary muses. I am especially interested in folks and mythologies. And also, context. I am trying to include the historical context. (My dissertation is about GDR fiction) When I am not behind the camera, I am usually reading or writing poetry and fiction, and I am ready to publish my writing collection.

To stay inspired, I spend my free time playing the violin or retreating to the city's parks. I believe the rhythm of music and the stillness of nature are essential to maintaining a creative edge.
